Latin Hustle is a vibrant and exhilarating social dance that appeals to dancers of all levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals. Whether you’re looking to spice up your dance repertoire, get a great workout, or simply have fun on the dance floor, modern Latin hustle dancing offers a thrilling and unforgettable experience for dancers of all backgrounds and abilities.
Salsa originated in the Caribbean, with roots in Cuban Son, Mambo, and other Afro-Cuban dances. Salsa can be danced on1 (LA style), on2 (New York style), or in various other regional styles, each with its own unique flavor and characteristics. Salsa is an excellent social dance to learn and enjoy at many Latin dance events around the Valley!
Bachata originated in the Dominican Republic and is known for its romantic melodies and sensual movements. Bachata can be danced in various styles, including traditional, modern, and sensual, each with its own interpretation of the music and unique choreographic elements. Bachata is a great social dance to start with!
West Coast Swing is a partner dance with roots in the Lindy Hop. It is characterized by an elastic look that results from its extension-compression technique of partner connection and is danced primarily in a slotted area on the dance floor. Part of the appeal of WCS is that it is an adaptable dance; it can be danced to a variety of musical styles and genres. At CDC, we offer Private Dance Lessons, Group Classes, Special Guest Workshops, and Weekly Socials and Special Events.
Country dancing is not only a fun and enjoyable way to socialize and stay active but also a celebration of American culture and heritage. Whether you’re dancing at a local honky-tonk, attending a country music festival, or participating in a community barn dance, country dancing offers something for everyone to enjoy.
